Our engineering consultancy
Complex, interconnected construction works place ever increasing demands on the planning of work and the management of complex projects, Austbreck has over 100 engineers to call on within our Group in all areas of current collection equipment.
Our Engineering team has the most up-to-date planning aids, such as Microstation, AutoCAD, as well as our own development of contact line software. Our sister company, Brecknell Willis has invested in Finite Element Analysis which is a routine part of our design process. This allows for simulation of the performance of pantographs on different types of overhead catenary systems.
Our 3D Solid Modelling Tool allows increased productivity of our design team who can model components, assemble, animate and design interface directly with an analysis package. It also allows for reduced time for physical prototyping and testing as well as allowing improved visualization and communication, providing exploded models for technical literature.
Our engineers’ great experience, continuous training in our own field of activity, our knowledge of work done abroad, involvement in professional and standard-defining bodies and our welcoming approach to new components and contact line systems all help us on our way to success, a success which benefits our customers and therefore the general public as well.
